Titus O’Neil was unceremoniously suspended due to a ‘joke gone wrong’ on WWE’s chairman Vince McMahon prior to Wrestlemania. This week we finally saw the superstar return to RAW!
Titus has noted that he made a mistake, and aims to bring a positive from that mistake:
“I always believe in all things there’s always positives in it. I made a mistake at an inopportune time. Regardless if it was too harsh or overreacting or whatever people have deemed it, it all stems from my mistake. Whether I agree with it or not, I am owning it. I’m doing what I’d normally do in any other situation.”
You have to give respect to the determination displayed by Titus O’Neil during this mishap, as he has shown to persevere through any downturn in his career. His close friend Batista had told him that he should leave the WWE. However, Titus had this to say in response to that:
“I can go and coach, I can do a lot of stuff, but at the end of the day, I’ve never quit on anything in my entire life.”
Here at WhatWrestling, we feel as though Titus was treated incorrectly by the WWE. Of course we don’t know the ins and outs of the situation. However, we would have hoped that the WWE would have treated the situation slightly better.
However, that being said, we’re looking forward to seeing Titus O’Neil back on our screens on WWE RAW each Monday. Hopefully we will see some kind of push into the future. We feel as though some sort of linkage to the US Title will be a good stepping stone for Titus. However, we will have to see if WWE creative does anything effective with the star.
How would you like to see Titus go further in the WWE? How should creative book him? Let us know in the comment section below.
