Why We Love The Finn Balor Entrance Theme

If you’ve never seen the Finn Balor Entrance, then let me direct you to the video below. Whether you’re a fan of Finn Balor or not, you definitely have to admit….it’s different.

Okay, now that you’ve seen it, I’m going to assume you’re agreeing with me that it is completely awesome. I mean, let’s face it. You have to have a pretty amazing entrance to have to crowd chanting “Holy Sh**” before you’ve even reached the ring.

There’s no doubt that Finn Balor is one of the most popular NXT superstars. However, it isn’t just his in ring talent (which he has plenty of!) that makes him so popular. He’s the whole package. He’s got mystery, he’s great in the ring, he has a great character. I’m going to go ahead and say it (don’t shoot me!) he’s a modern day Undertaker.

The Undertaker never had the best mic skills in the world. However, he had the power to hold the audience in the palm of his hand, simply by the sound of that ‘gong’. Admittedly, Finn Balor’s entrance is a little more upbeat and entertaining than The Undertaker’s. However, it still has that uniqueness and creepy aura which you find when The Undertaker comes down to the ring. However, he’s still being completely unique with it. Unlike when I was watching Bray Wyatt’s entrance at Wrestlemania. It seemed too much like he was trying to be The Undertaker.

It is definitely going to be interesting to see the Finn Balor entrance once he makes it onto the main roster. However, knowing the WWE creative team, they’ll repackage him into something stupid. HOWEVER, assuming they don’t do that, it’ll be good to see the entrance on a bigger stage, with a bigger budget, and see how the crowd reacts.

Finn Balor is definitely someone we look forward to seeing on the WWE Main Roster some time soon, and is without a doubt our favourite NXT Superstar at the moment. What are your thoughts on the Finn Balor entrance? Do you like the theatrics? What about the music? At first we weren’t sure about the music. However, it’s growing on us. It isn’t something like, say, Randy Orton’s theme songs, which stick on your head. However, it has a great movement to it which Finn Balor takes full advantage of in his movements.

In addition, the face paint is awesome! How it stays on him quite well during a match we’ll never know. I remember Goldust ending matches with barely any face paint on at the end. I think Mr Balor needs to give him some advice!
