Dave “Batista” Bautista is currently a bit of a star in the movie business since leaving the WWE. He’s had success in Guardians of the Galaxy, and hopefully will have success in the future. However, what is the possibility of Batista returning to his roots in the WWE?
Batista is going to be in the upcoming James Bond Spectre movie, which will be interesting to see him in such a large role. Not much has been released in regards to his performance in Spectre, as everything is kept very ‘hush hush’.
Recently when speaking to a reporter, Batista discussed the possibility of a return to the WWE. The topic of Chris Jericho’s schedule came up. Batista said he would concider a return to the WWE if he could do the same sort of schedule as Chris Jericho
Chris Jericho is on a live only show contract. He can essentially turn up and disappear as he pleases. The door is always open.
However, I think Batista needs to bare in mind…he’s not Chris Jericho.
Chris Jericho has been in the business for many many years, and has arguably done more for the WWE than Batista has. There are several superstars who do the same. The Rock and The Undertaker are the first names that come to mind. However, once again, these superstars have been around for far longer than Batista, and they’re all far bigger names than Batista.
It also has to be remembered that with Batista’s last stint in the WWE, he wasn’t adored that much by the WWE Universe. So, it could be argued whether or not Vince McMahon would even want to give Batista such a lose time schedule contract. Is he even worth it? Perhaps if Batista becomes an even bigger name in the film industry, then his A-Lister name would draw a big crowd. However, he’s a long way off becoming as big as The Rock in the film industry.
I guess we will just have to wait and see whether Batista will return to the WWE in the future. Only time will tell.
